Perhaps the only kind of switchblade that is appropriate to pull on somebody, the Switchblade chopper from Nirve is bad to the bone. The stylish steel frame is an awesome showcase for features such as the wide flat handlebars, tribal-embossed seat, front disc brake, and fat tires. The moto-inspired dual-crown fork, tribal graphics, and shorty chopper fenders help tie this ride to its Easy Rider roots. And the specs are modern with a low-maintenance 3-speed drivetrain and aluminum wheels for an easy, laid-back ride.
Internal hub gearing is a gearing system built into the rear wheel hub. It allows you to shift at any time, even when not pedaling, like at a stop sign. Because the majority of parts are housed within the hub, the gearing mechanism is protected from weather and grime, and therefore requires almost no maintenance. Plus, with less external parts than a derailleur system, you’ll get consistently smooth, reliable shifts.
